Ansprache der beiden Lehrer Francis und Ramadan bei der Eröffnungsfeier der Bishop Mchonde Secondary School in Itete am 9. April 2010:

The short history of Bishop Mchonde Memorial Secondary School
April 9, 2010

Dear our guest of honor, our school is called Bishop Mchonde Memorial Secondary School, for the remembrance of our first Bishop of Mahenge Diocese.
The school began on 8th February 2010 with 31 students, now the school has 65 students of which 30 are boys and 35 are girls. Also it has three teachers in which one is a female and two are males.
Dear our guest of honor, we would like to inform you that we planned to have one class for only 35 students, but due to the ambivalence of the societies now the school has the total number of students which is already mentioned above. Due to positive response of education to the society, now we are enforced to seperate them into two classes/blocks.
Furthermore, our dear guest of honor, the main obejctive is to widen up our school which will comprise of secondary education and vocational training, such as carpentry, man sonly, handicraft (as to mention a few).
Our dear guest of honor, not only that, but also the school planned to have dormitories that is for boys and girls. In addition to that the school will be categorized into agricultural sector due to the fact that agriculture is the backbone of the Tanzanian economy.
In fact, we ought to provide a quality vocational training for those who lack to join secondary education for the future time.
Dear our guest of honor, one of our successes is that up to now we have already registered 65 students more than what we have planned before, hence it shows that there is a great need of quality education in our society. In order to tackle the challenges of having this increased number of students we have already made 20 tables and chairs to cope with the number of students.
Dear our guest of honor, we want to appreciate for teachers who decided to come to this remote area to join with us for giving quality education to our community…in God everything is Ok.
Dear guest of honor, apart from the successes, we have some challenges which are facing us up to now, we are using Nazareth community building due to the incompletion of our school, we haven´t build the laboratory, library, teachers houses, administrative block, the rooms for different vocational trainings, assembly hall, and dining hall. Besides that the school lacks teaching aids and learning aids, for instance laboratory apparatus chemicals, reference books, different laboratory compartments such as skeletons, heart, lungs and so far.
The effort of the Nazareth and school itself is limited, therefore we ask for a warmly cooperation between the Solidar group and school government.
Dear our guest of honor, we thank the Solidar group to accept our views of taking school to be second priority…May the God award you long life.
Lastly we would like to thank you all for coming and joining with us today, we can encourage you to do the same next time….Glory to God.
This short information has been prepared by Bishop Mchonde´s teachers. Thank you. God bless you.
